We offer training for all BSAC diver grades.
The training programme begins with Discovery Diver, which is available to anyone aged 10 or above* and qualifies you to dive to 12m deep, with supervision!
Next rung on the ladder – and the most popular starting point to learn scuba – is the Ocean Diver course. As a BSAC Ocean Diver you’ll learn the basics of scuba diving, including how to look after your equipment, dive with a buddy, and use enriched air (Nitrox) to a maximum depth of 20 metres.
At MKSAC we can also run Sports Diver and Dive Leader courses, subject to demand.
Once qualified, you can pursue your interests – such as wreck diving, technical diving or underwater photography – on our club dive trips, or you can train to become a diving instructor.
I’m already trained, can I dive with you?
Yes, absolutely! We welcome divers trained by other agencies including PADI, SSI, SDI/TDI, Raid or many others. Join our club and BSAC and you can dive with us, no crossover training required.
Come and have a chat with us at the clubhouse on a Tuesday. Our weekly meet-up allows us to arrange training, diving and social events.
We have pool time on Friday evenings for training, practice and kit testing.
*Please note we can only train young people aged under 18 to scuba dive if they have a legal guardian who is a full diving member with MKSAC.
